Overview

You’ll start your exciting romp at iconic Dallas, Texas, a thoroughly modern city of sparkling skyscrapers but preserve its very rustic roots. Hunt some noteworthy historical highlights like President John F. Kennedy’s life and death at the Sixth Floor Museum. You’ll pick up the famous Chisolm Trail in nearby Oklahoma City, surrounded by rolling grassy plains that were once known as the Great American Frontier. You’ll spend a generous couple of days exploring this big city with the soul of a small town. Modern-minded travellers will find plenty of dining and entertainment in the Bricktown Entertainment District while traditionalists need to seek out the little-known secrets of its five “Districts” with attractions all their own. You’ll hit well-tread Route 66, a historic highway that will lead you to infamous Dodge City, once home to Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. You’ll also see picturesque Pikes Peak and the majestic Rocky Mountains the Denver, Colorado area is known for. It’s the perfect cap (snowy, white cap, that is) to this trip of a lifetime.

Welcome to Dallas. The “Big D” is a glittering city of skyscrapers with a past and present rich in the stuff that American legends are made of. From barbecue and steaks to cowboy boots, country music and the nostalgia of the old west – “big things happen here.” Upon arrival, pick-up your rental car and transfer independently to your hotel.

The Stockyards National Historic District, National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame and Billy Bob’s Texas – the largest honky-tonk anywhere – are just a few examples of where you can rustle up a Wild West adventure in Fort Worth.

It's time to slow down and soak up the sights, sounds, tastes and character of the heart of America as you head into Kansas. One of the best ways to get a feel of Wichita is to explore the Old Town District. We recommend taking a leisurely walking tour where you'll hear the history of the district while sampling the culinary expertise of locally owned and operated restaurants.
