Set in between are forests, hidden lakes, craggy peaks and golden plains. Tweedsmuir Provincial Park - BC's largest - calls this region home.
This is a region with a past rich in the spirit of adventure, a land settled by entrepreneurs and outdoor enthusiasts, artists and explorers. Hit the trail at one of the many guest ranches, chat with a costumed interpreter at an historic site, or pick up something beautiful at a studio or gallery in an artistic little town. Canoe the legendary Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit, kayak the central coast, or catch a whopper along the Fishing Highway. Explore the Gold Rush Trail and cowboy history in the Cariboo, see ancient hoodoos and volcanic mountains in the Chilcotin, or discover deep fjords and Aboriginal culture on the coast.
